2. What these terms cover

These terms apply to your use of this website only. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, you must not use the site.

Use of the Synthaveil service itself is covered by the terms you agree to when you sign up, and by our Acceptable Use Policy.

3. Information on this site is not advice

The material on this site, including papers, posts, the Data Exposure Score and any example figures, is general information. It is not legal advice and it is not an assessment of your organisation. Example data on this site is illustrative.

Synthaveil replaces identifying details with stand-ins. Its output remains personal data in the hands of the organisation that holds the mapping back to the real values. Nothing on this site states that using Synthaveil makes any processing lawful.

4. The Data Exposure Score

The Data Exposure Score is a short self-assessment. Its result reflects only the answers you give. It is not a measurement of legal risk.

5. Waitlist and early access

By joining the waitlist or registering for early access, you agree that we may contact you about the product. You can withdraw that agreement at any time. Joining does not create a contract for the service, guarantee access or fix a price. How we handle your details is set out in the Privacy Notice.

6. Using the site

You must not:

• attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or the systems behind it;
• interfere with the site's operation;
• copy the site's content in bulk, by automated means or otherwise;
• use the site to send unsolicited communications;
• submit another person's personal data through our forms without their agreement.

7. Intellectual property

The content of this site, including text, illustrations, diagrams, films and the Synthaveil name and mark, belongs to us or our licensors. You may read it, print it and share links to it for your own information. You must not reproduce or republish substantial parts of it without our written permission.

Links to other sites are provided for reference. We are not responsible for their content.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, this site is provided free of charge and we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it or reliance on the information on it.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

We may update these terms at any time. The version on this page is the one that applies.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom may also bring proceedings where they live.
